The above said product brought to my residence by K. Uma Maheswara Rao, Code No 9015216 [Phone No. 9966945017], salesman on 27/12/2008. He has taken full amount of Rs 7,790. Vide CASH RECEIPT NO 036832 , dt. 27/12/2008, promising to show Demonstration the next day. Everyday we contacting him, but he did not turn up till date. We have lodged a written complaint with 1-2-261/8, Karan Centre, Sarojini Devi Road, Secunderabad - 3, on 29/12/2008. Till date neither the sales man nor the company, inspite of repeated reminders not taken any initiative to send for demonstration. Already 10 days has elapsed, and the product is lying idle for the last 11 days. If it is your service at the time of selling the product we can guess your services afterwards. So kindly take over the product, and refund the amount to us. We decided to approach the consumer court, if the refund is not arranged at the earliest.

I have a Eureka water purifier (aqua Royale) we are under AMC but the service is very poor especially after the centralised help line. From 29th December 2008 onwards I would have made not less than 30 calls asking for installation at another place. When ever I call the centre, everybody have been promising me that the service would be done immediately but no action has been taken so far. Without loosing my patience, I have been calling the centre till 8 O clock today, the 5th January 2008. In utter frustration, I am sending this mail to you for your immediate action. Now we regret why we went for AMC when the service is this poor. The complaint registration number is 9038952725.

I had a LG W1642S LCD Monitor which was bought 3 months back. By using this monitor I had severe eye strain because it has no TCO 03 certifications. In the website of LG they show that the monitor has TCO 03 Certification. But I think It has no TCO 03 Certification. They showed this only in the website not in monitor or its case. Why they cheating the customers like this. How can I overcome this problem? Expecting an advice.

RBS Home appliance service is pathetic. They distribute premium brand/Siemens products. The product itself is good in terms of build and quality, but when it comes service and support, they are absolutely lethargic and have a do -not care attitude towards the customers. I heard from their service personnel that they are grossly understaffed and untrained and lack the caliber to service the high-end equipments and resort to avoidance and delay tactics and abandon the customers seeking support/service.
My personal experience is with the Siemens refrigerator. It stopped working and when I called the service center, they send some rookie technician to inspect and that too only after I paid the visit charges of Rs 500. The guy came and did lot of phone calls to figure out how to identify the problem with the Fridge and could not succeed in troubleshooting the problem. Finally, he gave up and suggested he need to take the fridge to the service center and check out the problem and promised that they would send somebody pick up the machine the following day. No body turned up and when I called up the technician/service center, they wanted me to turn on the fridge again and leave it for 30 mins see if by chance it would work (chance is yet another servicing tool RBS/Siemens is apparently trying). But unfortunately for me & Siemens the Fridge did not work by chance or luck (perhaps it works based on principles of physics). After that every passing day I call them up for follow up and they always have a standard answer that they we come and pick up the machine for check up in a day or two (I guess they are hoping that sooner or later the machine will self-repair and start working by itself - though I did not recollect reading in the fridge manual that the machine has artificial intelligence built in and knows how to self-repair). Still I waiting for RBS to service my Fridge (or the Fridge to service itself) and looks like both will never happen!
Looks like they are not interested in what there customers are saying - RBS Home appliances does not have a web-site and I have not found any complaint/feedback provision in any Siemens web-site. Siemens is a good engineering company, but fails miserably in terms of customer support/service and its distributor RBS is following Siemens philosophy of customer service in spirit and deed!!!!
Not sure what moneycontrol can do about this. But any initiative towards furthering the voice of consumer to bring some level of accountability by these companies would be appreciated.

Dear Sir,
My microwave oven is giving electrical shocks for some time. I got wiring and other electrical connection checked and there was no fault with them. Then I called IFB help line and there technical person came. He said that there seems to be a problem with front panel and it has to be changed, which will cost Rs 4,000. Is he right or should I seek some other technical person advice?

If your microwave is under warranty and the panel is faulty it should be changed by the company. If not you will have to bare the expenses. Kindly check with the company for details.
Hi, I bought the Samsung LCD LA20A in 2006 which is 20 inches and Samsung has vanished this model from every place. I complained them for the LCD losing colours last year nobody ever turned up or called. Samsung once told me that the spares for this model are not available as I had ordered a remote for this model. Lately I registered another complaint to get this replaced as its out of warranty now and an engineer happily came the same day as I was to pay and to the amazement the Samsung engineer told me that the cost of replacement is 18,500.00 and when I asked him how can it be as a new 22 inches is selling at 18,000, the answer was - "Sir jis rate mein aapne kharida tha repair bhi usi rate ki lagegi LCD sasti hone se Samsung ko kya and warranty on LCD replaced is only be 1 month"
I have decided never to buy Samsung again, and can anybody suggest a good repair shop in Delhi where I can get this repaired.
