Is your vacuum cleaner sitting forlorn in some loft gathering dust, simply because you find it cumbersome to wrestle with multiple attachments to simply sweep the house. Well, then we have some news for you, your vacuum cleaner is handy for various things apart from cleaning. Here we’ve listed down a few uses of the dirt buster, which you may or may not have figured out yet.

Advantages of suction power:

If you suffer from butterfingers then you’ve probably used your vacuum cleaner at least once to search for small items like earrings, buttons, which you drop accidentally. Of course, it would be wise to have a clean dust bag, so you can retrieve your belongings.
If you have a pet dog, then you can save yourself and the poor beast some trouble by sucking out the ticks from its body. Mind you, try to use a mild suction, you don't want to cause your pet any more discomfort.
Then there’s pet shedding as well. Not just that, you can even clear out shedded leaves off your garden with high suction.
This may sound hilarious, but you can even try sucking mosquitoes through the suction. Even if you don’t manage to catch the mosquitoes, you will ensure that your family has a good laugh watching you chase a lone mosquito with a suction pipe.

Advantage of the blower:

Now, this is a whole lot of fun. Take the spray jar of your vacuum cleaner and fill it with colour. Attach the blower and you are all set for a fun painting experience. If you’re feeling adventurous, you might even try your walls, or even your car.
You can even starch your clothes. How, you may ask? Just put the starch powder and water in the spray jar, like you did the colours and attach the blower and voila! Similarly, you can even water your plants with it, just in case your hose pipe isn’t available.
You can blow all your party balloons with the blower. You can also use to fill air into the deflated wheels of the bicycle.
If any of you have ever used a hair dryer to dry clothes, you would have figured that the blower of the vacuum cleaner can also do the same, and do it more effectively as there is more hot air and over a larger surface.
This may sound unconventional but the hot air of the blower is also useful in curing lasting headaches.

Some are conventional, some not so much, the point is, your somewhat sidelined home appliance offers so much more and it's time you took it out and made some use of it. Look at the bright side - in case you make a mess, the vacuum cleaner is handy enough to clean it up.
